Each of our dogs is a part of our family and lives in our home.  We integrate these wonderful "people" into our lifestyle of friends, backyard and family.  They are socialized with other dogs as well;  beach and play dates are a good thing!  AP Labs' litters are full-blooded Chocolate Labs, not a mix of several colors that signify different colors in one bloodline.  We breed selectively in order to promote the best demeanor, look and behavior in our Chocolate Labradors.  We may have Champion and Grand Champion lines, but it is all about breeding to produce the best companions for our puppies' forever families!

We OFA-certify our breeding dogs hips and elbows.  We only breed those that have a "good" or better rating. We CERF-clear them for eyes before continuing the line.  You will find many breeders don't provide this as part of their adoptions.  It may save you some money early on, but will cause heartache down the road if your pup is not from a healthy, proven line.
