Atlantic Pacific Labradors
“From Our Home to Yours”
Announcements
We are thrilled to announce that both Laka and Anuenue (Anu) are expecting litters! The two litters will be about five days apart and are due in early August.
Thank you for your patience while we rebuild our website with a new host. The site is still under construction, but I didn’t want to delay sharing this news any longer. I’m working to resolve the remaining glitches!

We Are Different
At Atlantic Pacific Labradors, we are not a kennel—and we're proud of that.
You won't find rows of cages, permanent outdoor runs, or our dogs separated from one another except when necessary during heat cycles. Instead, you'll find fur on the couch, paw prints on the floor, and a few Labrador "speed bumps" in the kitchen. Our dogs are family, and they live right alongside us.
When we have a litter, our family is involved around the clock. Every puppy receives individual attention, daily handling, age-appropriate enrichment, exercise, early training, and plenty of love. We believe that raising well-adjusted puppies comes from time, consistency, and a lot of common sense.
We also make sure our moms have a chance to recharge. As the puppies grow, we let each mama decide when she wants to spend time with her puppies and when she'd like a break. We think she knows best.
Our puppies have their own puppy hale with a secure fenced yard and covered lanai. During Waimea's rainy weather, we can even raise the lanai roof for extra fresh air while keeping everyone dry. During those first weeks, one of us is always nearby, and we take turns sleeping in the puppy hale so both Mom and the puppies are never alone.
As the puppies grow, our whole family helps care for them. This gives Mom some well-deserved downtime while the puppies become comfortable being handled by people of different ages. By the time they leave for their new homes, they're well socialized, confident, and used to the everyday sights and sounds of family life.
We love every litter, and yes—we're usually wrapped around their little paws before they head home!

We Care
We believe transparency and responsible breeding are essential. To maintain our credibility, we advertise only through referrals, the AKC website, and our own website.
If you decide to purchase a puppy from another breeder, we encourage you to ask about their health testing. Responsible breeders should perform DNA testing, orthopedic and eye certifications on their breeding dogs, including hips, elbows, and eyes. They should also ensure their breeding dogs are clear of inherited conditions such as EIC (Exercise-Induced Collapse) and PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy).
There is nothing more heartbreaking than falling in love with a puppy only to discover they are facing preventable hereditary health issues. Taking the time to choose a breeder who prioritizes health testing and responsible breeding practices can make all the difference in giving your new family member the best possible start in life.

Finding the Right Puppy
We want every puppy to have the very best life possible, so we carefully screen prospective parents to ensure they're a good fit for a Labrador. Some of the things we consider include:
Home ownership is preferred, as rental situations can sometimes make pet ownership more challenging.
A securely fenced yard or another safe way to provide regular exercise. Labradors are active dogs and thrive with daily activity.
A home where the puppy will not be left alone for extended periods.
At least one family member who will be the puppy's primary advocate, trainer, and lifelong companion.
Once the puppies are born, I begin sharing photos and videos with our prospective puppy families. At six weeks of age, families will choose their new love.
Rather than selecting by gender (such as "first female" or "first male"), each family is offered all of the puppies that are available when it is their turn to choose. Over the years, some families have fallen in love with a puppy that wasn't their original gender preference. This process also allows us to help match puppies and families based on personality, not just gender.
Families choose in the order they joined our reservation list. If your preferred gender is not available when it's your turn and you don't feel you've found the right puppy, you're welcome to remain on the waitlist for a future litter.
Beginning July 1, 2026, families may pass on one litter without losing their place on the reservation list. If a family chooses to pass a second time, they will be moved to the bottom of the reservation list. This policy helps keep the process moving for families who are ready to welcome a puppy while still allowing everyone the flexibility to wait for the right timing/match.
Once you've chosen your puppy, I'll send individual photos and videos every few days until it's time for your puppy to come home. It's one of my favorite parts of the process! Our puppy families tell us they love watching their furbaby grow before they join your family.
Pricing and Our Commitment
Our puppies are $3,000 each, plus applicable tax. If your puppy will be traveling by air, the cost of airfare and an airline-approved travel crate is the responsibility of the new owner. It will be added to the final balance.
As breeders, we reserve the right to retain first pick of either gender from any litter. We also reserve the right to decline a placement if we feel it is not in the best interest of the puppy. Our first responsibility is to the lifelong health, happiness, and well-being of every puppy in our care.
All puppies are sold with limited AKC registration. This allows your puppy to be registered with the AKC, but any offspring cannot be registered. We do this to help protect our bloodlines and to discourage unplanned or irresponsible breeding.
Individual AKC registration paperwork will be released once proof of spay or neuter has been provided. This policy helps ensure our lines remain healthy, proven, and responsibly bred. We believe protecting the future of the Labrador Retriever is part of our responsibility as breeders.
Our dogs come from Champion and Grand Champion bloodlines, combining both English (show) and American (field) heritage to produce well-rounded Labradors with excellent temperament, structure, and versatility.
Our breeding dogs receive comprehensive health testing. They have OFA certifications for hips and elbows with ratings of Good or better, CERF eye clearances, and DNA testing through their parentage for inherited conditions including EIC (Exercise-Induced Collapse) and PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy).
Before going to their new homes, every puppy receives:
A complete health examination and Veterinarian clearance
Age-appropriate vaccinations
Deworming
A microchip

Living with multiple Labradors certainly has its challenging moments, but we wouldn't have it any other way. We believe the time, care, and love we invest are reflected in the confident, even-tempered puppies we are proud to raise—with just enough Labrador mischief to keep life interesting!
